A new rooftop entertaining space for the luxury high rise condominium. This project called for a redesign of a rooftop entertaining space in a luxury high rise condominium. Due to the building’s location in West Hollywood, the stunning panoramic view of Los Angeles and the surrounding cities quickly became the main focus in the design process. Sliding floor to ceiling glass doors span the walls of the social space, allowing the view to be experienced no matter where an occupant is located.
Additionally, the doors allow for the space to easily be converted into an indoor outdoor space that promotes uninterrupted circulation and interaction during larger events. The decision of incorporating grass not only adds texture to the clean design, but engages occupants for additional activity typically enjoyed on a field when events are not taking place. With comparable views to iconic Los Angeles tourist spots such as Griffith Park, residents can enjoy this exclusive view just an elevator ride away.
