Larchmont
Located on one of Los Angeles main streets, the Diamond previously housed dark units that not only were spatially cramped but also stood out from the rest of the residences as it was lackluster in representing the chic and modern atmosphere of the surrounding neighborhood. As Beverly Boulevard is known for housing the rich and famous, these residences were designed with luxury in mind. Textured ceilings were removed to open up spaces, and natural light was encouraged to circulate throughout the entirety of each unit. A redesign of the facade created a modern look with not only a clean design, but intricate elements such as wrought iron railings to complement the exterior and give a luxurious feel. The landscaping was also taken into close consideration where privacy from onlookers was created for side entrances with trees acting as natural barriers that filter natural light whilst still allowing light to pour in.
