Los Angeles
This project required both an interior and exterior redesign and renovation, focusing on modernizing different elements while keeping some of the old charm. The preexisting building presented a faded appearance alongside an unappealing entrance. With a more inviting design in mind, a rich blue facade is complemented by a newly landscaped entrance and curved pathway. With large windows spanning each unit, bright interiors are exaggerated through the use of dark accents such as cabinets and other details. The original tiling was preserved in the kitchens and bathrooms alongside the window mullions, preserving the original charm each unit continues to hold. Warm wood flooring not only brings warmth into each space, but also brings subtle union to the divergence between the black and white tones.
