Santa Monica
This condominium unit featured a stunning view and generous floorspace, neither of which were maximized in the original design. A reconfiguration was performed for this ocean front condo in the beautiful beach city of Santa Monica, where the residence was updated with modern details and finishes. A wall separating the kitchen and dining room was removed to not only maximize the living space, but also create an area for entertaining and interaction for the residence. This new Great Room takes advantage of the expansive view that was once limited to the Family Room, and now can be enjoyed in the Entryway and the Kitchen. The outdoor conditions were considered throughout the entire design process, specifically noticeable in the cool gray and white tones featured throughout the unit. This specific choice allows for a clean look that flawlessly invites the bright blue sky to become an essential element of the resident’s experience, capturing attention upon entering each room by bringing in a pop of color and embracing the SoCal beach culture.
