Creating Memories and Moments

Ross Woodley, Landscape Architect of EPTDESIGN sat down with Ben Ballentine of Ballentine Architects Studio for a lively conversation about creating residences that feel like home.

Making a client’s dream become a reality is a skill that Los Angeles architect Benjamin Ballentine from Ballentine Architect Studios understands best. Designing a luxe custom space for a client doesn’t happen overnight. Ben takes his time listening to his clients, asking deep heartfelt questions, learning how they live and more importantly how they want to function in their new space. It’s only once he truly understands the client and their dreams about their new investment that he starts to dive into the landscape to understand the space, where does the sunlight strike in the morning? How does the breeze cool the space? Where should someone enter, sit, entertain, swim, meditate, or cook to have the best experience the home can bring them?

Benjamins’ personalized touch, combined with his ability to collaborate seamlessly with developers, designers, builders, contractors, city planners, and property owners, makes him an asset to any project. This article dives into two uniquely special and different projects that are a collaboration between EPT Design and Ballentine Architects Studio, Sunset Plaza Road, in West Hollywood, California and The Glen Oaks Residence in Montecito, California.
